So, er, onwards!
For the longest time, I've been interested in going into astronomy as a career path. However, looking more into it, I've realized that professions within that field were rather competitive, and that, really, I probably wouldn't do too well there. Most job openings are in the academic field, and I really could never be a teacher. I already have a hard enough time explaining how to change the desktop background to my dear old grandmother, who still uses AOL and calls the computer the "e-mail machine."
However, I have not been discouraged from pursuing a life of science! Instead of astronomy, I hope to go into chemistry, with a wider range of jobs. Of course, I still may go back for schooling on astronomy and political science. I've got a good range of interests, and by that, I mean I like science and politics. Why not learn both? With a wider range of education, it shouldn't be as hard to find a steady job (or any job!).
But now, I'm just working hard in my classes. Pre-calc is not my strong point, nor is literature, but I seem to do well in everything else.
As a side note: They have a smiley named Joy. :3
